Welcome to the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

Physical Therapy is a profession concerned with the restoration of function and the prevention of disability accompanying disease, injury, or loss of a body part.

The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the University of Connecticut is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Graduates may practice in a wide range of settings including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, public and private schools, private offices, homes, sports medicine centers, and industry.
