Jon Rizzo received a B.S. in Sport Science/Athletic Training in 1998 from the University of Connecticut. After becoming certified as an Athletic Trainer following graduation, he then continued his education at UConn, earning an additional B.S. in Allied Health as well as an M.S. in Physical Therapy in 2001 and 2002 respectively. He is employed by Nayden Rehabilitation as a Physical Therapist and Clinical Instructor in the Physical Therapy program. He also participates in the Undergraduate and Graduate Athletic Training program via classroom teaching and clinical instruction of Athletic Training students. His clinical and research interests include general orthopaedics, sports medicine, and patient compliance. Jon became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach by National Strength and Conditioning Association in November of 2006. He is in the process of earning his PhD in Adult Learning within the Neag School of Education's Department of Educational Leadership.
